The fight for the 28 seats will be a joint effort: G.Parameshwar

Dr. Yatindra, the son of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah spoke at the inauguration of a Sangolli Rayanna statue in Rural Mysore. He stated that the Lok Sabha Election of 2024 will be fought under the leadership of Chief Minister Siddaraamaiah in Karnataka. He reiterated that a good performance by the Indian National Congress in Karnataka would ensure that Siddaramaiah would continue to assume the responsibility as the Chief Minister for a period of 5 years without any hindrance.

Yathindra made a reference to guarantee schemes which have been implemented by the government. He stated that Rs 56,000 crores have been spent on the schmes. “No other government has spent for the power and downtrodden on this scale,” he said. He highlighted the need to affirm Siddaramaiah’s stature in order for the schemes to continue unabated.

Minister of Home Affairs of Karnataka G. Parameshwar has however offered a different perspective on the issue. “The responsibility of the Lok Sabha election isn’t with Siddaramaiah alone. The President of Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar are also involved. The fight for the 28 seats will be a joint effort,” he said. He claimed to not have been aware of the statements of Dr. Yatindra.
