India is voting for a new government in the Lok Sabha elections 2024. Karnataka will be voting in two phases, April 26 and May 7.

Keeping this in mind, a few Sandalwood actors have resorted to an ingenious way of motivating people to come out of their comfort zones and vote.

Under the aegis of a media house by the name ‘Madhyama Aneka’ these actors have composed a rap song ‘Vote Namma Power’. The song educates the voters on the weightage their vote holds and thereby, the stability and prosperity of the nation.

The designers of the song have intentionally chosen the rap mode of singing as it appeals to the younger generation. Through music, they have tried to prevail upon the young voters not to miss out on an opportunity to build the nation. Most importantly, the song touches upon the topic of how several people use the day of voting as a ‘day-off’ and go out on hikes.

Other celebrities like Niranjan Deshpande, Sanya Ayyar, among others too have participated enthusiastically in this song, which praises the festival of democracy.

The results of the elections will be declared on June 4.
