Lok Sabha Elections 2024: As voting will take place in 14 constituencies of Karnataka what are factors that will affect results?

    Congress has expressed confidence in securing more than 10 seats

The third phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha Election will take place on May 7th. The 14 constituencies of Karnataka that were not included in the first phase will witness voting on May 7th. Citizens will be able to cast their vote starting from 7 AM until 6 PM. 

Preparations have been made for the smooth conduction of the voting process across all polling booths. More than 1 lakh officials will be involved in this process. 50,000 police officials have also been stationed to ensure security. Constituencies which are part of Hyderabad-Karnataka and Bombay-Karnataka along with Shivamogga and Davangere will participate in the election process on May 7th.

The main contest is between the Indian National Congress (INC) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on all seats. Whether pockets wherein the Janata Dal (Secular) (JD(S)) has a presence will have an effect due to investigations pertaining to the videos supposedly belonging to the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate from Hassan, Prajwal Revanna remains to be seen. The Lingayat community will play a more prominent role in this phase in comparison to the earlier phase. The INC has expressed confidence in securing more than 10 seats in this phase owing to rural belts and the women voters who were beneficiaries of their guarantee schemes.
