The worst fears have come true for a few Karnataka BJP leaders as the party released the second list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls 2024. 

The notable losers in the released list are Pratap Simha from Mysore Constituency, Nalin Kumar Kateel from Dakshina Kannada, Sadananda Gowda from Bangalore North. 

Others include: 

GM Siddeshwar from Davanagere

Shivakumar Udasi from Haveri 

Srinivasprasad from Chamarajanagar

GS Basavaraju from Tumakuru

Karadi Sanganna from Koppala

Devendrappa from Ballari 

The ones who have gained: 

Dr CN Manjunath to contest from Bangalore Rural, Shobha Karandlaje from Bangalore North, V Somanna from Tumakuru, Kota Shrinivas Poojary from Udupi-Chikmagalur, Brijesh Chowta from Dakshina Kannada.  

Karnataka MPs playing musical chair 

The Karnataka BJP MPs were playing a musical chair competition as they waited for the list to be announced. 

Sitting BJP MP from Bangalore North Sadananda Gowda had already put out a post on X, confessing he is not contesting the election. In his place. 

Karnataka has 28 Lok Sabha seats. As of now, the list contains names of 20 constituencies. In the third list, the remaining names will be announced. 

It will now be a herculean task to soothe frayed tempers.
