  • Dr K.Sudhakar won by a margin of 1.6 lakh votes
  • Eshwar had stated that he would quit politics if Sudhakar wins
  • The Police officials visited Eshwar's house

The house of the Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) from the Indian National Congress (INC) in the Chikkaballapur constituency Pradeep Eshwar was attacked with stones. This has resulted in the windows being damaged. This comes in light of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from the Chikkaballapur constituency Dr. K.Sudhakar securing a win over the INC candidate M.S Raksha Ramaiah by a margin of 163,460 votes in the 2024 Lok Sabha Elections.

Pradeep’s house is located in the Kandavara region in Chikkaballapur. The incident occurred during the late hours of the day. Police officials from the Chikkaballapur Police Station have visited his house to conduct an investigation into the incident.

Pradeep Eshwar had earlier made a statement that if Dr. K.Sudhakar were to even win by a margin of 1 vote, he would leave the field of politics. The rivalry between the 2 leaders has been ongoing for quite a while. Dr K.Sudhakar could be assumed to have had an edge in this episode of their rivalry. The INC managed to win 9 seats across Karnataka. The BJP on the other hand were able to win in 17 constituencies. This is still a loss of 8 seats in comparison to 2019.
