Irked and indignant over his son not getting a ticket to contest the Lok Sabha elections 2024 from Haveri, Karnataka, senior BJP leader K S Eshwarappa has decided to rebel against the alleged injustice.
It is said, he will be contesting against BY Raghavendra, Yediyurappa’s son who’s contesting from Shivamogga constituency. He will contest as an independent.
Eshwarappa tears into Yediyurappa
Lamenting Yediyurappa’s step-motherly treatment to his son, Eshwarappa asserted that Yediyurappa had promised him that he would ensure his son’s victory after giving him a ticket.
He also noted that Yediyurappa ensured Shobha Karandlaje’s candidacy was not compromised.
BJP’s second list
The saffron party’s second list of candidates concerning Karnataka offered a lot of surprises. As many as nine incumbent MPs were axed, paving way for youngsters.
Notable MPs who missed the bus are Pratap Simha, Nalin Kumar Kateel among others.
Election dates out tomorrow?
In all likelihood, the Election Commission will reveal the dates of Lok Sabha elections 2024 tomorrow.
If BJP does manage to plunder the magic number, it will be a hat-trick for PM Narendra Modi. Else, the INDI Alliance will surely upset the apple cart.
