To facilitate this mass movement, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has deployed an additional fleet of 500 buses, while the Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has added over 100 buses to cater to the northern districts. The South Western Railway has also stepped up, providing an extra train to accommodate the surge in travelers.

However, as demand surges, private bus operators have also joined the fray, with more than 1500 additional buses being pressed into service for the fourteen districts. Routes such as Bengaluru-Hubli, Bengaluru-Dharwad, Bengaluru-Belagavi, and others are witnessing heightened activity, with private operators ensuring connectivity to polling stations.

Despite the increased demand, private bus operators have shown solidarity with voters, refraining from hiking fares, thereby supporting the democratic process.

In essence, citizens from Silicon City are making their voices heard, utilizing both public and private transport options to fulfill their civic duty and participate in the democratic process.
