In a video shared on his X platform, PM Modi engaged with gamers who discussed gaming terminologies like “grind” and “noob”.

Upon hearing the term “noob,” PM Modi couldn’t contain his laughter and quipped, “If I use this word during elections, people will wonder who am I referring to. If I say it, you will assume it for a particular person.” While the Prime Minister didn’t explicitly name anyone, his comment stirred a political storm, with Congress leader Pramod Tiwari criticizing PM Modi’s use of slang.

In response, BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla took a dig at the Congress, suggesting that their reaction confirmed who the real “noob” in politics was.

Bollywood actress and BJP candidate Kangana Ranaut also joined in, sharing the video and posing the question, “Who is this Noob?” The Prime Minister’s light-hearted remark has ignited a debate within the political arena, highlighting the ever-present tension between political adversaries.

The elections for a new government is set to start from April 19 till June 4.
