    Siddaramaiah cast his vote in Chamarajanagar

Chief Minister of Karnataka Siddaramaiah cast his vote in the 2nd phase of the 2024 Lok Sabha Election. Prior to voting, he offered his prayers to the god revered by his household. 

He visited a temple in Siddaramanahundi  in the Mysuru district. He also visited the Siddarameshwara temple and the Ram Mandir. He offered prayers in the temple belonging to the village in which he was born. He was welcomed by the priests of the temples. 

Siddaramaiah cast his vote in the Chamarajanagar. Sunil Bose, the son of H.C Mahadevappa who holds the portfolio of the Ministry of Social Welfare is contesting from the Indian National Congress (INC). 

The polling commenced at 7AM across 14 constituencies in Karnataka . 2.8 crore voters are registered to exercise their right to vote. The ratio of male to female voters is close to 1:1. There are 1,44, 28,099 male voters and 1,43,88,176 female voters. Voters not identifying as either the male or female gender amounts to 3000 in this phase.

The duo of Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar have expressed confidence in securing victory in more than 20 seats across Karnataka. The BJP-NDA alliance however asserts that they would win across 28 seats in Karnataka.
