BJP gets several advantages if Yaduveer contests

The saffron party also has Siddaramaiah in mind

His entry will be another royal family addition to the BJP

The BJP plans to plunder several advantages by rolling the red carpet to Yaduveer Wadiyar, the incumbent king of Mysore. 

It is now being learnt that the Prime Minister, who had breakfast with the royal family, had invited him to be a part of the party. 

Now with elections fast approaching, the BJP has gone all out to woo the king to contest the elections. As per sources, the BJP approached his mother Pramoda Devi while she was on a pilgrimage to Kashi. At the same time, it is said the BJP pressured its former Rajya Sabha member Harsh Vardhan to persuade Yaduveer to contest the elections. Incidentally, he is the father of Yaduveer’s wife Trishika. 

Advantages of Yaduveer joining BJP

1. With his entry, there will be another addition of a royal family to the BJP. 
2. His entry will add more credibility to the party and its electoral prospects. 
3. Yaduveer is from the Urs family. So, if he contests, the BJP hopes it would get the votes of around 50000 Urs voters in the region.  
4. Lastly, the BJP is hoping that it will put Siddaramaiah on notice. The Karnataka CM has this habit of addressing everyone in the singular. So if Yaduveer contests, he will be forced to address him in respectful terms.
