Padmarajan.N of Tamil Nadu also known as the ‘Election Raja’ has contested and lost 238 elections. He is the owner of a tyre repair shop. He has been contesting elections since 1988. His first election was from the Mettur region of Tamil Nadu. In the 2024 election, he will contest from the Dharmapuri constituency. Padmaraj has contested against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Former Prime Ministers Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Manmohan Singh and the Indian National Congress (INC) leader Rahul Gandhi in the past. 

As he has been losing on a consistent basis, he’s not deterred by an imminent loss. He has also been spending money for this process. This time too, he has spent Rs 25,000 for getting nominated. His name has been recorded in the Limca Book of Records. Apart from this, Padmaraj also supplies Homoeopathic medicine and functions as an editor of a media outlet.
