Voting is everyone’s right. It is also a necessity. In this regard, a woman reached the polling station before walking into the marriage hall for her wedding. The incident occurred in the Kundooru village located in the Mudigere Taluk of the Udupi-Chikmagalur constituency.  

She was attractively dressed in attire suitable for a wedding on this occasion. She exercised her right to vote and participated in the process of democracy. Others who had gathered at the polling booth were amused by this.

Voters in 14 constituencies will be casting their vote on 26th April across Karnataka. The polling commenced at 7AM. 2.8 crore voters are registered to exercise their right. The ratio of male to female voters is close to 1:1. Although the number of male voters exceeds female voters by 39,923. The number of people not belonging to either the male or the female gender amounts to 3000 in this phase. 

This is the second phase of the 7-phase election. 89 constituencies across 14 states will head to the polling booth on 26th April. All 20 seats of Kerala and portions of Rajasthan that did not feature in the first phase will head to the polling booth on 26th April.
