The vehicle in question, reportedly belonging to Harsh Vardhan Singh, Executive Director of a private construction firm, was not formally part of the CM’s motorcade. However, it was observed trailing behind the procession. Initial investigations suggest that the funds were intended to compensate labourers.

Allegedly earmarked for disbursing wages, the cash was purportedly designated for workers engaged in projects such as the Sonari Medical College in Assam, the Brigade Headquarters in Khinsa, Arunachal’s Tirap district, and the Assam Police Battalion in Shivsagar. This revelation sheds light on the widespread financial intricacies underpinning various construction endeavours across the region.

The incident underscores the heightened vigilance surrounding financial transactions, particularly amidst the charged atmosphere of election campaigns. As authorities delve deeper into the matter, questions surrounding the source and intended use of the substantial sum continue to linger, emphasizing the imperative of transparency and accountability in electoral processes.
