PM congratulates DRDO scientists for Mission Divyastra

It has Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology

It has 10-12 warheads

The entire nation waited with bated breath as they got news that Prime Minister Narendra Modi would address the nation at 5: 30pm. 

As it turned out to be, the Prime Minister put out a tweet, congratulating the DRDO for Mission Divyastra.  

He wrote, “Proud of our DRDO scientists for Mission Divyastra, the first flight test of indigenously developed Agni-5 missile with Multiple Independently Targetable Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology.”

The missile has a range of around 5000 kms. It can send out a warning that if India is attacked, it is very capable of hitting back equally robustly.
