NAAC expands its social responsibility initiatives
NAAC will extend its activities beyond accreditation to include various social responsibility projects under the NAAC Social Responsibility (NSR) initiative. The first phase will focus on enhancing academic, skill development, and overall well-being for students and youth in Bengaluru, with future expansion to other regions.
College students and employed youth will assist schoolchildren, particularly in STEM subjects, offering hands-on experience and conceptual learning. Camps on Indian culture and values will also be organized to promote holistic development.
International accreditation for yoga courses
NAAC will begin accrediting yoga courses offered internationally, aiming to boost the recognition of yoga education programs abroad. This move seeks to ensure the quality and authenticity of yoga teachings, which have deep roots in Indian tradition.
A new vision for education reform
NAAC officials emphasized the need for reforms in the higher education sector, integrating modern knowledge with Indian values. They stressed that financial constraints are not always a limiting factor, citing examples of resourceful institutes that have thrived with innovative solutions.
The initiative marks a significant step toward improving the education system and fostering social responsibility in the country.
