The RuPay-powered National Common Mobility Card, issued with Pine Labs, promises cashless, queue-free public transport access across multiple Indian cities.
In a move aimed at making daily urban commuting easier and fully cashless, Blinkit on Tuesday, January 27, announced the launch of the Bharat Yatra National Common Mobility Card (NCMC) on its platform. The card is designed to offer a single, interoperable payment solution for public transport users across multiple Indian cities.
The RuPay-powered NCMC card, issued in partnership with Pine Labs, allows commuters to make payments across metro and bus services, helping them avoid long queues and the need for multiple city-specific transport cards. The card is priced at ₹50 and does not require Know Your Customer (KYC) verification.
Eternal and Blinkit CEO Albinder Dhindsa shared the update on social media, confirming that deliveries of the Bharat Yatra Card have already begun in Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Chennai, and Ahmedabad. He said the initiative supports instant UPI top-ups and removes the inconvenience of maintaining separate cards for different cities.

According to Blinkit, the Bharat Yatra Card can be used on all metro lines in Delhi and NCR, Mumbai Metro and BEST buses, Namma Metro in Bengaluru, Chennai Metro and MTC buses, and metro services in Ahmedabad and Kanpur. The card also supports bus services in Guwahati, Haryana, Jammu, Srinagar, Himachal Pradesh, and Aurangabad.
The card can hold a maximum balance of ₹2,000. Users can recharge it through multiple options, including in-app payments, scanning the QR code on the back of the card using any UPI app, and recharging at metro stations. Offline top-ups are also available at metro stations and bus depots by paying customer care executives.
Commuters can track their balance and transaction history using the Bharat Yatra app or by contacting the customer care helpline. Blinkit says the initiative is a step towards encouraging public transport usage and simplifying mobility across Indian cities.
