The NDA registers a sweeping victory in the Bihar Assembly election, leading to the grand swearing-in ceremony at Gandhi Maidan with Nitish Kumar returning as Chief Minister once again.
Bihar witnessed a historic political milestone as Nitish Kumar took oath as Chief Minister for the tenth time, marking yet another chapter in his long-standing leadership of the state. The swearing-in ceremony took place at Patna’s Gandhi Maidan, where massive arrangements were made to accommodate national and state leaders who attended the event.
The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) returned to power with a commanding majority in the recently concluded Bihar Assembly elections. Voting was held in two phases on November 6 and 11 for the 18th Bihar Legislative Assembly. Counting of votes on November 14 confirmed a decisive mandate, with the NDA securing 202 out of 243 seats, giving the alliance a strong grip over the state’s political landscape.

Alongside the Chief Minister, two Deputy Chief Ministers, Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha, were administered the oath of office. The ceremony also included the induction of 26 ministers, forming the new state cabinet.
The event drew significant national attention, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union ministers and several NDA leaders present to witness the formation of the new government. The gathering at Gandhi Maidan highlighted the political weight the NDA continues to hold in Bihar after yet another election victory.
