The visit came a day after the powerful explosion near Red Fort Metro Station killed nine people and injured at least 20 others. The blast tore through a white Hyundai i20 and damaged several nearby vehicles.
Earlier in Bhutan’s Thimphu, the Prime Minister had issued a stern warning to those behind the attack, saying, “Our agencies will get to the bottom of this conspiracy. Those responsible will not be spared.” He added that the entire nation stands with the victims and their families in this hour of grief.
