Not a very merry Christmas while there is a genocide ongoing in Gaza: Swara
Actress Swara Bhaskar reflected on how 2023 panned out for her through an Instagram post in which she tagged her husband Fahad Khan. It consisted of a collage of photos and videos celebrating her marriage and her new born child. “2023 ! A whirlwind year that on the personal front brought love, promises, commitment, union, transformation, purpose, fulfilment, blessings and a lifelong obsession like no other baby and in the outside world brought violence, hate, injustice and an ongoing genocide. This year has been schizophrenic for me. I’ve swung everyday between elation and despair, between joy and helpless rage between purpose and deep cynicism. But through it all I’ve felt humble gratitude. Here is a look at everything that kept me sane and wanting to live longer and better this past year,” the post was captioned.

She had a piece of advice for others for the year 2024. “This new year, hold your near and dear ones close.. and closer still. It’s all we have in an imploding world. So thankful for my own. Happy new year,” the caption added.
One week back, Swara had also shared pictures of Christmas celebrations. She stated that it was “not a very merry Christmas while there is a genocide ongoing in Gaza.”
