We want to make Bihar free from corruption and crime: DCM Vijay Sinha

122 votes are required for proving majority in Bihar

Jan Sangh conspired to remove Karpuri Thakur as CM: Tejashwi

After having been sworn in as the Chief Minister of Bihar for the 9th time, Nitish Kumar faced a test on the floor of the Legislative Assembly. 129 Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) endorsed his candidature. This is 7 more than the required number of 122 to win the motion. Earlier Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Vijay Sinha had remarked that the government intends to make Bihar free from corruption and crime.

Former Deputy Chief Minister from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Tejashwi Yadav affirmed that the mission of Nitish Kumar to stop Modi from expanding his base in India will be taken up by him in the state of Bihar. “We think of you (Nitish Kumar) as part of the family. We are from the Samajwadi (socialist) family. You were free to talk to us anytime,” he said. He also stated that the decision to reward Former Chief Minister Karpuri Thakur with the Bharat Ratna is political. “I am happy that he received the award. You have worked with him. When he increased the reservation cap, it was the Jan Sangh that conspired to have him removed from the post of Chief Minister. And where are you seated today? BJP had made Bharat Ratna a deal,” he expressed.
