In relation to the incident in which chants in praise of Pakistan were raised on the premises of Vidhana Soudha, NewsFirst Prime learns that FSL report has been handed over to the government. The investigating police have examined several video footages.

Now, they will be investigating more suspects in the case. It is also learnt that, through the FSL report, that the slogans were indeed raised. Even as the investigations go on, senior Karnataka BJP leader CT Ravi has alleged that the government is trying to bury the incident. At the same time, he also expressed his anxiety over such a callous attitude exhibited by the government as people may be further put into trouble.

The case

Last week, as the Rajya Sabha results were announced, supporters of Nasser Hussain, who won the elections, broke into rapturous celebration. It is here that they raised the slogans. In fact, Hussain also shooed away a journalist who questioned him.

The BJP, the principal opposition party in the state, held protests to denounce the incident.

As the investigations carry on, let’s hope that the perpetrators are brought to book. Such incidents lead to communal disharmony and shatter the peace of the society.
