The investigation pertaining to the murder of Renukaswamy is currently underway. The police have made progress in uncovering the incidents that took place in the lead up to the murder. As per reports, Renukaswamy constantly sent messages to Pavitra. He had supposedly sent an obscene message on February 27th. This caused Pavira to become distressed. He is also said to have sent her photos of genitalia. 

Pavitra is believed to have talked about this with Pavan who worked at her house. She apparently cautioned him against letting Darshan know about this as the consequences could be disastrous. However Pavan supposedly did not heed to her advice and relayed the information to Darshan.

A fake account was created to gather information about Renukaswamy’s whereabouts. Upon gathering that he hails from Chitradurga, the Darshan’s fan club in Chitradurga were put on an alert mode. Raghavendra received a call from Darshan. He met Renukaswamy and upon examining his phone identified the obscene messages and photos. He was directed to bring Renukaswamy to Bengaluru. 

On Saturday, when Renukaswamy was on his way to his medical shop, he was asked to assemble at a bar. He was kidnapped after he became drunk. He was brought to RR Nagar to Vinay’s shed. After being assaulted by Darshan’s fans, Darshan and Pavitra are reported to have arrived. Pavitra is said to have hit him with her slippers. Darshan is also reported to have assaulted Renukaswamy.
