In what comes as bizarre yet shocking, a 31-year-old woman gained a furtive entry into her own mother’s house in a burkha and stole jewellery worth thousands of rupees.

The mother immediately rushed to the police station and lodged a complaint. When the police began investigation, they came to know that the front door was untouched, thereby understanding that there were no forged entry. At the same time, they also studied the available CCTV footage in which they saw a woman entering the premises wearing a burkha. Now, when they summoned the accused woman Shwetha, the first daughter of the complainant and interrogated her they too were in for a shock.

Shwetha confessed to the police that she orchestrated the entire event as her mother loved her younger sister more than her. She also told the police that her mother had given her younger sister more jewellery for her wedding compared to her.

On the day of the heist, Shwetha slipped into a burkha and gained entry to the house. After the heist, Shwetha pretended to be distraught when her mother told her what had happened.

Shwetha never imagined that anyone would suspect her, but she did not know even in her wildest dreams that the third eye would be too good to be fooled.
