He had been abroad for more than a month
He will be arrested by the SIT

Just a few days ago, he had released a video in which he said he would be arriving on May 31. He also went on to say that he was depressed after having known that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi called him a ‘mass rapist’. Much before this, his grandfather and former PM of India HD Devegowda had written a letter to him, asking him to return to India and face trial.
Earlier, he had put out a post on X, informing the SIT sleuths that he would return in 7 days’ time, but he didn’t.
The Karnataka government too had written to the Centre seeking his passport cancellation.
Interestingly, just a day before he boarded the flight to Bengaluru, his lawyers filed an anticipatory bail plea. But the court refused to hear it straightaway and set the date as May 31, the very day he lands in India.
He is accused of raping women and filming the entire act.
