Facing nationwide heat over his alleged sexcapades in Hassan, Karnataka, Prajwal Revanna, the incumbent MP from the same place and grandson of former PM HD Deve Gowda, who is allegedly in Frankfurt, Germany, has put out a tweet through his lawyer, saying he needs 7 more days time to return to India and appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the scandal.

He also asserted that ‘Truth would prevail’.

In the meantime, Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, has written a letter to PM Narendra Modi to cancel his diplomatic passport and deport Revanna from Germany.

Earlier, Siddaramaiah also pointed fingers at Deve Gowda saying he facilitated his exit from the country. Meanwhile, Prajwal Revanna has been suspended from the JD(S) pending investigation.

Last week, multiple pen drives containing sleazy videos of the accused were distributed across Hassan. Owing to the sheer magnitude of the scandal, the Karnataka government formed an SIT to probe the issue.

An FIR has also been lodged against Prajwal Revanna and his father. Early this morning, a homa was performed at his house in Hassan, seeking divine intervention.

The JD(S) has made it clear it would not back Prajwal Revannna and sought strict punishment for him.
