The teenager, reportedly the son of a prominent builder, was driving a Porsche when he rammed into the motorbike carrying Dudhiya and Costa. According to the police FIR, Costa died instantly, while Dudhiya succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

The court’s decision to grant bail came within 14 hours of the minor’s detention. Although details of the bail hearing were not disclosed, police officials indicated that the court did not deem the crime “serious” enough to warrant denial of bail. Conditions for the teenager’s release include working with traffic police for 15 days, undergoing psychiatric evaluation and treatment, writing an essay on the incident, and assisting accident victims if he witnesses any future accidents.

A video of the accident scene has surfaced online, showing the teenager being assaulted by a crowd immediately after the collision. The Yerawada police have registered a case against him under several sections of the Indian Penal Code and Motor Vehicles Act, including rash driving and causing death by negligence.

This tragic incident has sparked a debate about juvenile justice and road safety, with many calling for stricter enforcement of traffic laws and more accountability for young drivers.
