They were sexually assaulted on pretext of getting jobs

Accused state further that the food they ate was laced

As many as 20 women have been gangraped in Rajasthan. These women were searching for employment in Anganwadi.

As per reports, a case has been filed against the chairperson of the Sirohi Municipal Council in Rajasthan, Mahendra Mevada, and the former municipal council Commissioner, Mahendra Choudhary.

How the case came to light

It was a woman from Pali who dared to approach the police, complaining that she and others had been lured in the name of job opportunities.

She also went on to allege that the sexual acts  had been videoed and the accused had threated them of uploading it on social media, further blackmailing them to cough up Rs 5 lakh.

Though the accused provided the gullible women with accommodation, the food they served would be laced with sedatives.

Now, the Rajasthan High Court has stepped in, ordering that a case be filed against the accused.
