After her decision not to contest Lok Sabha elections, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi is contesting the Rajya Sabha elections from Rajasthan. 

As per her assets declaration, her worth is Rs 12.53 crore, which has only increased by Rs 72 lakh. 

Notably, she does not own any vehicles but possesses ancestral property in Italy valued at Rs 26 lakhs. Additionally, she holds 88 kg of silver, 1267 grams of gold and jewelry, and three bighas of agricultural land in New Delhi, valued at Rs 5.88 crore.

Her income sources include MP salary, royalties, interest on bank deposits, dividends from mutual funds, and capital gains. Among her royalty sources are publications from Penguin Book India, Oxford University Press, Ananda Publishers, and Continental Publications, with a notable receipt of Rs 1.69 lakh from Oxford University Press.

However, Sonia Gandhi faces a pending case in the National Herald matter, charged with fraud and irregularities under sections 420, 120B, 403, and 406. The trial proceedings have been halted by the Delhi High Court since February 22, 2022.
