Harbhajan Singh says inauguration is his good fortune

He exhorts people to bury all their differences

Mandir to open on January 22; PM to do honours

In what can be construed as a brave move, Harbhajan Singh, former cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP, has asserted that it is his good fortune that the Ram Mandir inauguration is happening during his lifetime.

He also urged the citizens to bury all their differences and stand as one during the epoch-making event.

At a time when opposition parties are upset over the move as they label it ‘political’ this exhortation comes as a unifying message.

The former cricketer will also be attending the event, much against the political decision of the opposition parties.

Congress to boycott inauguration

As many as three Congress leaders, UPA Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, AICC Chief Mallikarjun Kharge and LoP Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary have informed that they would not be attending the inauguration as it is a ‘political’, ‘BJP/RSS’ sponsored event. A few other parties of the I.N.D.I Alliance too have batted in their favour.

Ram Lalla’s idol revealed

On Friday, the images of Ram Lalla’s 51-inch idol were revealed. The image has been chiselled by Karnataka’s Arun Yogiraj. Prime Minister Narendra Modi would inaugurate the temple on January 22. As many as 8000 visitors have been invited for the occasion.
