The pran pratishtha of Lord Ram at the Ayodhya Ram Mandir will take place on January 22. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the person who will be installing it. While the whole nation waits with bated breath for the historic occasion, several states have declared a holiday on the all-important occasion.
Uttar Pradesh was the first state to declare a holiday. Its Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has also urged people to create a Diwali-like atmosphere on the day.
Goa
Goa has also followed in Uttar Pradesh’s steps. Its Chief Minister Pramod has appealed to the people to create a festival-like atmosphere on the day.
Next come Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Chhattisgarh. In fact, MP has even gone to the extent of banning meat and liquor sales in the entire state.
However, Karnataka is yet to take a call on the issue.
8000 people get invites
As many as 8000 people have received invites for the historic occasion, which includes celebrities and sports stars.
However, the four Shankaracharyas have allegedly exhibited their displeasure owing to a few differences in the traditions relating to the pran pratishtha.
It might be recalled that the top court had awarded the disputed land to Hindus.
