Close on the heels of the Rameshwaram Cafe blasts in Bengaluru, the Bengaluru Police have seized explosives at a building in Bellandur. 

Reports suggest that these explosives were to be used to blast rocks. However, there was no licence to store these explosives, it is learnt. 

The police have undertaken a lot of search operations in the aftermath of the Rameshwaram Cafe blasts. 

The blasts 

It was on March 1 that two blasts ripped through Rameshwaram Cafe in Kundalahalli in Bengaluru. The blasts took place at 1: 07 pm at a time when around 50 people had gathered to have their lunch. 

Presently, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is probing the incident. The sleuths have also taken one suspect into their custody. 

The suspect had placed these bombs and made them explode in such a way that he had enough time to escape. He had to gone to a mosque, changed his clothes and cap and taken a bus to Ballari. 

The cafe reopens 

The cafe reopened on Mahashivratri, after rituals were held in accordance with the Hindu religion. A lot of security measures have now been put in place to thwart any untoward incident.
