The retired soldier had ordered a speaker

He has lost Rs 1 lakh in the fraud

He has now lodged a complaint with the cops

For a retired soldier Mahesh, little did he know that booking a speaker on Amazon for Rs 5499 would be his road to get cheated. After he booked the speaker, he wanted to cancel his order. So 3 days later, he cancelled the order. As a customary message, he was informed that he would get back the amount in a few days. 

However, the message didn’t materialise. So he googled the helpline number, dialled it. But again, he didn’t succeed. But interestingly, he got a call from another number. The caller on the other side, informed him to download RUSKDESK application and press the OK button present there. When an unsuspecting Mahesh followed the instruction to the hilt, he was aghast to know that he had lost Rs 81k instantly. 

When he chose to dial the number again, he was again informed that he would get his money back. But in the process, instead of gaining his money back, he had only lost more money! 

He has now approached the Halasuru Police Station and lodged a complaint. 

The fraudsters had created an UPI MOSA1122@SBI for this purpose alone!
