MI franchise released a promo with Hardik and Pandya in the same frame

We haven’t seen each other for the last couple of months: Hardik

There will be nothing awkward: Hardik

With the Indian Premier League (IPL) set to commence shortly, one of the biggest questions among fans ahead of the season is whether or not Hardik Pandya replacing Rohit Sharma as the captain of the Mumbai Indians (MI) will have an effect on the franchise. The MI franchise released a promo wherein both the players were featured in the same frame. However, when asked whether he has spoken to Rohit Sharma, Hardik replied by saying, “Yes and no to that, because he has been travelling and playing. We haven’t seen each other for the last couple of months. We are all professionals, and by the time the team comes together and once he comes in, we will definitely have a chat.”

Hardik Pandya affirmed that the change in captaincy will not have a major difference in terms of how the team functions. “It won’t be any different, because he will be there to help out if I need his help. He is the captain of the Indian team, which helps me because what this team has achieved, it has achieved under him. From now onwards, it will be about carrying forward what he has achieved, so there will be nothing awkward. I have played for 10 years under him and I know he is going to have his hand on my shoulders throughout the season,” Hardik mentioned.
