    Salaar makes history with a remarkable box office opening

    Actor Chiranjeevi extends his appreciation to Prabhas and the Salaar team

Prashanth Neel’s directorial venture ‘Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire’ makes history with a remarkable box office opening, raking in an estimated ₹95 crore nett in India alone. Starring Prabhas, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Shruti Haasan in pivotal roles, the film has generated substantial buzz, surpassing the first-day earnings of Animal, Jawan, and Pathaan. Amid this anticipation, veteran actor Chiranjeevi extends his appreciation to Prabhas and the Salaar team.

On Saturday, he posted on X (formerly Twitter), saying, “Congratulations to my dear ‘Deva’ Rebel Star Prabhas. Salaar: Part One – Ceasefire has set the box office ablaze. Applause to director Prashanth Neel for this outstanding accomplishment. Your expertise in world-building shines through. Sending my regards to the superb ‘Varadaraja Mannar’ @PrithviOfficial, ‘Adya’ @shrutihaasan, and ‘Kartha’ @IamJagguBhai. Also, a shout out to the fantastic crew including @bhuvangowda84, @RaviBasrur, @vchalapathi_art, @anbariv, producer @VKiragandur, and the entire teams of @SalaarTheSaga and @hombalefilms for this tremendous success!” 

In Salaar, Prabhas takes on the character of Deva/Salaar, Prithviraj Sukumaran portrays Varadharaja Mannar, Jagapathi Babu embodies Rajamannar, and Shruti Haasan assumes the role of Aadya. Vijay Kiragandur, under the Hombale Films banner, serves as the producer, and Ravi Basrur, renowned for KGF, is the composer of the soundtrack.

Salaar is slated for a two-part release, with the initial installment titled Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire and the sequel named Shouryaanga Parvam. The film, available in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, hit theaters on December 22, entering the competitive arena with Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki at the box office.
