Ahead of the expulsion of Prajwal Revanna from the Janata Dal (Secular), former Public Works Department (PWD) Minister and father of Prajwal Revanna, HD Revanna had a meeting with the former Prime Minister and grandfather of Prajwal Revanna, HD Deve Gowda at his residence in Padmanabhanagar. Speaking to reporters after the meeting he said, “We are all here. I do not want to comment on the issue at the moment. We will deal with the issue in accordance with the law of the land. Some of the incidents may be 4-5 years old. It is the party’s decision to expel him. There should not be any interference in the investigation being carried out by the Special Investigation Team (SIT).” 

HD Revanna also addressed the topic of his name being mentioned in a First Information Report (FIR) by a maid who had reportedly worked at his residence and allegedly faced sexual harassment. “There is politics involved in this. It is the Congress’ government. They will act in a way that seems fit to them,” Revanna stated.

Revanna is said to have given the assurance that if and when he is required to be present by the investigating authorities, he would comply.
