After divorce from Dhanashree, Yuzvendra Chahal and RJ Mahvash part ways: Friendship ends amid buzz

Months after closing his marriage chapter, Team India spinner faces another personal setback as reports confirm a fallout with close friend RJ Mahvash

Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal is once again in the spotlight, this time for developments in his personal life. Nearly 8-9 months after his divorce from choreographer Dhanashree Verma, reports suggest that Chahal has also drifted apart from RJ Mahvash, who had entered his life after the separation.

Chahal and Dhanashree, who were in a long-term relationship before getting married, officially ended their marriage on February 20, 2025. Soon after the divorce, Chahal was frequently seen with RJ Mahvash, sparking widespread dating rumours. The two were spotted together at several locations in India and abroad and openly praised each other on social media, leading many to believe that a new relationship had begun.

Their growing closeness was evident during several public moments. Mahvash was seen celebrating Christmas 2024 with Chahal, appeared in the stands during Champions Trophy and IPL matches, and even travelled to London in July to celebrate Chahal’s birthday. These repeated appearances strengthened speculation about a possible second marriage.

Fuel was added to the rumours in November, when Chahal shared a photoshoot in a black suit with the caption, “Shadi ke liye ready hoon, bas ladki chahiye”. Many fans interpreted this as a hint towards Mahvash.

However, recent developments indicate a sudden change. Reports suggest that Chahal and Mahvash are no longer in touch and have decided to distance themselves due to differences. Notably, both have unfollowed each other on Instagram, triggering strong buzz about a “friendship breakup.”

While both had consistently maintained that they were only best friends, sources now claim that even this friendship has ended. With this, Chahal is once again said to be single, marking another difficult phase in his personal journey over the last two years, during which he also lost his place in the Indian team.
