Union Home Minister Amit Shah is hosting a high-stakes meeting at his Delhi residence, where top BCCI officials will finalize the name of the new boss of the world’s richest cricket body. The official announcement will come during the BCCI Annual General Meeting on September 28, but insiders believe today’s meet will seal the choice.
Leading the race is Sourav Ganguly, the former BCCI president (2019–2022) and Bengal cricket icon, looking for a second term. He has been officially nominated by the Bengal Cricket Association. Meanwhile, former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has entered the contest with Punjab Cricket Association’s backing, promising an interesting showdown.
