Team India and Karnataka pacer Vshak Vijaykumar marries long-time friend Sagarika at a private wedding in Bengaluru; actor Kichcha Sudeep attends and blesses the couple.
Talented Team India and Karnataka fast bowler Vyshak Vijaykumar has stepped into a new phase of life. The pacer married his long-time friend Sagarika in a grand ceremony held in Bengaluru on Thursday, March 5.
The wedding took place at ‘Main Palace’ in Bengaluru in the presence of close family members, friends and personalities from the cricket fraternity. The event became even more special when Sandalwood star Kichcha Sudeep attended the ceremony and conveyed his wishes to the newlyweds. His presence added glamour to the celebration.
Born on January 31, 1997, in Bengaluru, Vyshak’s cricket career has been marked by determination and transformation. He initially started as a batter and even led Karnataka’s Under-16 team. Over time, he reinvented himself as a fast bowler and emerged as one of the promising pacers from the state.

His father played a crucial role in shaping his career, even sacrificing his job to support his son’s cricket ambitions. Vyshak repaid that faith through consistent performances and is now regarded as one of the leading pace bowlers from Karnataka.
Vyshak entered the Indian Premier League in 2023 through Royal Challengers Bengaluru. After beginning as a net bowler, he earned a place in the main squad and impressed in his debut match by picking up three wickets.
In the IPL 2025 auction, he secured a significant deal as Punjab Kings bought him for ₹1.80 crore, highlighting his growing value in domestic and franchise cricket.
Representing Karnataka, Vyshak has already claimed over 100 wickets in first-class cricket. He is known for his ability to take wickets both in the powerplay and during slog overs, earning recognition as a “death over” specialist. Recently, he was also part of the Indian team on the South Africa tour.
