A wedding invitation featuring the names of Palash Muchhal and India’s women’s cricket vice-captain Smriti Mandhana has set off a wave of speculation across social media platforms. The card, which surfaced through a fan account dedicated to Mandhana, quickly went viral, prompting a mix of excitement, curiosity, and scepticism.

The invitation claims that the pair are preparing to tie the knot soon. While fans celebrated the news with congratulatory messages, questions emerged over the authenticity of the card. Several social media users pointed out that the design could be digitally altered, suggesting it might be a fabricated invite circulating without verification.

Neither Palash nor Smriti have issued any official statement about the card or any wedding plans, leaving the public guessing. However, an earlier remark by Palash has added fuel to the conversation. Speaking at the State Press Club in Indore in October, he said, “She will soon become the daughter-in-law of Indore… that’s all I want to say.” Though the comment hinted at a relationship, it stopped short of confirming any marriage.
Palash, meanwhile, has shared multiple posts celebrating India’s World Cup win. In one, he posed with Smriti and the trophy, captioning it, “Am I still dreaming?” Another photo showed him proudly displaying his ‘SM18’ tattoo, referencing her initials and jersey number, further feeding speculation among fans.
As the card continues to circulate, the unanswered question remains: Is the wedding happening, or is this just another social media rumour? Until the duo issue a clarification, the viral invite will continue to keep fans talking.
