Defending IPL champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru will shift their home fixtures for the 2026 season to Navi Mumbai and Raipur, while WPL matches in Navi Mumbai will be held without spectators due to election-related security constraints.

Defending IPL champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) are likely to stage their home matches of the 2026 Indian Premier League season away from Bengaluru, with Navi Mumbai and Raipur set to serve as their base venues.

According to sources, RCB will play five of their home matches at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai, while the remaining two home fixtures will be hosted at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh Stadium in Raipur during IPL 2026. The arrangements were finalised recently after a series of meetings between RCB officials and the concerned authorities.

This temporary shift means RCB fans will see the reigning champions in action across two different cities during the upcoming season. The move is expected to help ensure smooth conduct of matches while logistical and administrative factors are addressed.

Meanwhile, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is also dealing with venue-related challenges for the Women’s Premier League. The fixtures scheduled for January 14 and 15 in the upcoming fourth season of the WPL at the DY Patil Stadium are likely to be conducted behind closed doors.

The decision is linked to the Navi Mumbai municipal corporation elections slated for January 15. Due to the elections, the local police will not be able to provide adequate security for events with public attendance. However, officials have clarified that the matches themselves will not be cancelled.
