The highly anticipated horror comedy Stree 2 has achieved a remarkable start at the box office, raking in over Rs 60 crore on its opening day, as reported by Business Today.

This impressive debut marks Stree 2 as the highest-opening film of 2024, surpassing the earlier releases Fighter and Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi), which garnered Rs 24.6 crore and Rs 24 crore respectively. With such a strong opening, the film is poised for continued success throughout the weekend.

In a detailed look at the cast’s remuneration, Shraddha Kapoor, who reprises her role as Stree, earned Rs 5 crore for her performance. Kapoor expressed her enthusiasm about the role, noting its uniqueness and the exciting developments in Stree 2. Pankaj Tripathi, who plays Rudra, a key member of the protagonist’s team, received Rs 3 crore for his contribution to the film.

Additional cast members include Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee, who were paid Rs 70 lakhs and Rs 55 lakhs respectively. Rajkummar Rao, returning as Vicky, received the highest fee among the cast, with a reported Rs 6 crore for his role in this highly anticipated sequel to the Maddock Supernatural Universe.
