The action-packed thriller GOAT featuring Tamil superstar Thalapathy Vijay has been a box-office sensation, smashing records since its release.
Directed by Venkat Prabhu, the film raked in over ₹137 crore within just four days of its release, according to Sacnilk.com, with its global earnings reportedly surpassing ₹279 crore. This spectacular performance has solidified GOAT as one of the top-grossing Tamil films of 2024.

For fans who missed the theatrical release, there's exciting news. GOAT is expected to make its OTT debut on Netflix approximately four weeks after its theatrical release. While the official release date for streaming hasn’t been confirmed, reports suggest it could arrive soon.
What’s even more exciting is that the OTT version of GOAT is likely to feature an extended cut. Director Venkat Prabhu recently revealed that the theatrical version had been trimmed by 18 minutes to meet standard length requirements. The uncut version, boasting a runtime of 3 hours and 20 minutes, will reportedly include deleted scenes, many of which are comedic moments featuring Vijay’s younger character.
This extended version is expected to enhance the cinematic experience and will be available exclusively on Netflix. With the success of GOAT in theaters, anticipation is high for its uncut OTT release, which promises to offer fans even more action and excitement.
