The allegations pertaining to the assault of the Former Chairperson of the Delhi Commision of Women Swati Maliwal at the residence of Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal at his residence have been a source of political contestation over the last few days. A video has however emerged from the day wherein the guards including Arvind Kejriwal’s assistant Bibhav Kumar who is the prime accused in the case is seen requesting Swati Malliwal to vacate the residence. “Today, I’ll prove it to everybody. Make me talk to the DCP right now. I’ll talk to the SHO. It will happen right here. Do what you want. I’ll eat up your job if you touch me. I have called 112. Let the police come. We’ll talk afterwards. Throw me out. This bald headed man. Just because there are no CCTV cameras,” Swati Maliwal said as per the video.

Swati Maliwal has not denied the authenticity of the video. She has however made claims that they show things out of context. “Just like every other occasion, the political hitman is attempting to save himself. He feels that by  getting his followers to post tweets and share clips taken out of context, he can save himself after committing a crime. Does anyone make videos when they are physically assaulting someone? When CCTV footage in other rooms and the interior portion of the house are uncovered, the truth pertaining to this issue will come to public view. You can stoop down to any level, but good is watching. One or the other day, everyone’s truth will be revealed,” Swati stated in a video on X.
