Police have arrested all three accused under POCSO Act

Police have arrested three youngsters who have been alleged to have gangraped a minor girl during the annual fair in Tumakuru. The accused have been identified as Amogha, Hanumantha and Pratap, all in their 20s.

Police revealed that the girl along with her friend was sitting atop a hill in the locality during the fair on March 4. Three youths who kept a vigil on them as they sat there, captured a video and blackmailed her saying that they would make her video public.

They then forcibly took her to a nearby place in Bandepalya and allegedly raped her.

Following victim’s complaint to the police about the incident, police have arrested all the three accused under various sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and are investigating the case.
