Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, also commented on the issue. He revealed that 300 kilograms of prasad from the Tirupati temple had been distributed to devotees during the Ram Temple’s consecration ceremony in January. He called the potential use of adulterated ghee in temple offerings “unforgivable” and demanded strict action against those responsible.

TTD officials disclosed that lab tests confirmed the adulteration, leading to the blacklisting of the contractor involved. Legal proceedings have been initiated against the supplier, who is accused of using animal fat in the ghee meant for religious offerings.

This controversy has raised concerns among devotees and the larger Hindu community, with calls for increased scrutiny of materials used in the preparation of temple prasad. The incident has drawn attention to the need for stringent quality checks in the handling of sacred offerings to prevent such lapses in the future.
