Bengaluru to see diversions Nov 19 for KSPCB event at Palace Grounds; 80k crowd, 2,305 vehicles, heavy congestion expected
Bengaluru will face extensive traffic restrictions on November 19, 2025, as the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board (KSPCB) marks its Golden Jubilee celebrations at Palace Grounds. The event, scheduled from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm at Krishna Vihara Gate No. 01, is expected to draw nearly 80,000 attendees along with 2,305 vehicles, prompting authorities to issue detailed advisories.
According to Bengaluru Traffic Police, the programme falls under the jurisdiction of Sadashivanagar Traffic Police Station and will be attended by the Chief Minister, Union and State Ministers, dignitaries, students, and members of the public. With such large numbers anticipated, congestion is likely on key routes surrounding Palace Grounds.
Roads expected to be congested:
• Krishna Vihara Gate (Palace Grounds)
• Ballari Road
• CV Raman Road
• Jayamahal Road
Traffic diversions announced:
• To Kempegowda International Airport: Avoid Ballari Road; instead use Old High Grounds Junction – Kalpana Junction – Old Udaya TV Junction – Cantonment Railway Station – Tannery Road – Nagawara – Airport.
• From Airport to City Centre:
o Route 1: Hebbal – Nagawara Junction – Bamboo Bazaar – Queens Road – City.
o Route 2: Hebbal Ring Road – Kuvempu Circle – Gorgunte Palya Junction – Dr Rajkumar Road – City.
• Yeshwanthpur to Airport: Mathikere Road – BEL Circle – Ring Road – Airport.
• Yeshwanthpur to City: Use Dr Rajkumar Road.
Heavy vehicle restrictions:
• Hebbal Junction: No entry towards Ballari Road; use Outer Ring Road.
• Old High Grounds Junction: Vehicles diverted via Kalpana Junction – Old Udaya TV Junction – Cantonment Railway Station – Tannery Road – Nagawara.
• Yeshwanthpur: Heavy vehicles barred from CV Raman Road.
No-parking zones:
Parking will be prohibited on Palace Road, Nandidurga Road, Ballari Road, CV Raman Road, Jayamahal Road, and Guttahalli Road.
Authorities have urged commuters to plan ahead and use alternative routes to avoid delays.
