The topping of a VRL (formerly known as Vijayanand Roadlines Limited) bus resulted in 2 deaths. The incident occurred near the Shahapur Taluk of the Yadgir district of Karnataka. The bus toppled near a bridge in the Hattigudur village.
7 passengers are in a critical condition as a result of this incident. The 2 deceased individuals are believed to hail from the Kalaburagi region of Karnataka.

The bus was headed to Bengaluu from Kalaburagi. There were 37 passengers on the bus. Many other passengers also sustained minor injuries. The police officials put in a commendable effort to pull the injured passengers out of the bus. They were shifted to a hospital in the Shahpur hospital for treatment. The area wherein the incident took place falls under the jurisdiction of the Shahpur Police Station. The Deputy Superintendent of Police of the Shahpur Police Station Javed Inamadar confirmed the deaths of the 2 individuals.
