“The attack appears to have been defeated and ineffective,” Biden told reporters, crediting the success to both Israeli military capabilities and US assistance. He confirmed that he was monitoring the situation “minute by minute” from the White House Situation Room.

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan described the Iranian missile barrage as a “significant escalation,” warning Tehran of “severe consequences” in response. He praised the professionalism of the Israeli military and highlighted the extensive joint planning between the two nations’ defense forces in anticipation of such an attack.

The missile strike marks one of the most serious confrontations in recent years between Israel and Iran, escalating concerns about broader regional conflict. US officials have reiterated their commitment to Israel’s defense, promising continued coordination to address future threats.
