Money the motive?
As per initial investigation, the two gained unpermitted entry into her room on the pretext of applying white cement in the washroom.
The both were under the impression that a huge bag lying in the room had a lot of cash, which they wanted to steal.
As they entered the room, the woman was vexed with them. But caring little for it, the two smothered her to death. Later, the two scooted to Kerala.
The police have recovered Rs 13000 in cash, 2 notes of 2000 Uzbekistan denominations and one note of 5000 Uzbekistan denomination.

After the murder, the two had locked the room from outside and absconded to Kerala. But the CCTV cameras installed on the premises were too good to be cheated.
