Darshan, Pavitra accused in Renukaswamy murder case

All accused are presently in police custody

Rs 30 lakh deal struck to dispose of his body

Newer details emerge as the investigation into the assault and murder of Renukaswamy, a pharmacy worker. 

It has now come to light that after he was murdered at a shed in RR Nagar, Bengaluru, three of the accomplices struck a deal of Rs 30 lakh with Darshan in order to dispose of the body.

As per the deal, the body was disposed of in a gutter at Sumanahalli in front of Satwa Apartments. 

After the act was committed, the three kept calling Darshan on Whatsapp. It is said that during this juncture, the deal collapsed and Darshan asked them to surrender before the police. 

When these accused were interrogated, it is said they tried to mislead the police, but didn’t realise that the men in khaki were too good for them. It is then that they confessed Darshan’s role in the entire episode and the cops also corroborated their statements with call records on their phone. 

Presently, all the accused, including Pavitra Gowda and Darshan, have been sent to police custody for 6 days. The police have  started recreating the scene. 

On Tuesday, as the police produced the accused before a local court, Darshan and Pavitra wept inconsolably.
